This song came from a extremely vivid dream i had where i had obviously reincarnated as a large hungry bird perched on an immensely high concrete wall that had been built around a large mecca of a city to keep the salinity and desert from encroaching upon it in the year 2050.
it includes words inspired by meeting and collaborating with Euphemide guitarist Michelle Wilson
lyrics
He told her were going to make it pay
so she wrote her pain down nine times every day
and tapped the whole point of the human being
by '98 you'll feel it in the streets
but don't sigh
stay high
and fly
they built a fortress 'round society
with walls too high to climb outside and see
i reincarnated as a hungry bird
happy to be free of your prison world
and fly
stay high
and fly
before i fly i'm taking one with me
the one with no walls has the eyes to see
and i wont stop until the work is done
anxiety-free brain out in the sun
so don't sigh
stay high
and fly !
