After a gig with sydney band Methrapunge,
a sole groupie came up to me at the bar & stuck her tongue in my ear
I took her for coffee and cake
and we stayed friends
and in a few years when she went to live in London
she would write me
a lot
I kept the letters for ages
and thought i should try and immortalise her in a song
the lyrics are inspired by
the main bits from Biancas Letters
lyrics
Hip hip Hooray from the UK
Bianca says 'have a hell day'
me and whats his name, got divorced
he left me in Amsterdam
when i got home all my belongings were gone
so ive been smoking some wicked dope from breakfast to bedtime
but i'm
fed up i cant unpack my bags
so ive been working down at the Retro store
which is an interesting task for an op-shop freak like me
besides that theres only ordinary things to say
like its damn cold now
minus degrees
My whole lifes in a state of supension
its cold outside and im getting restless
Home is where the heart is
and i really miss the sun
Im just coming back to the earth after a great big high
ive yet to face up to the real world
thou i've been contemplating it for eons
i always live in hope
dont get me wrong but
this place is over-rated
home is where the heart is
and i really miss the sun
