words written before i recorded anything at all
when music had mostly meant guitar and instrumental composition for me and not songs yet. so i sat on these words and they found expression in this band some 7 plus years later in 96. they seemed to speak to a 'relationship' i was having at the time. it helped to put it in song form
lyrics
On nights like this
of sovereign thirst
catch a breath of wind and save it
for moments of breathlessness
with Cheshire smiles as good as a thousand miles away
show me how you play
show me how you love
i'll light your skies with works of fire and magical celebration
if you'll just tell me
what it all means
what it all means
if only life was like dreams
i want to make it all beautiful and then catch a wind of change
like a San Francisco street car
id love to end it with an endless smile
than have to end it all in fire
it ended all in fire
it ended all in fire
and im glad it ended, that it ended
all in fire
all in fire
in fire
